New Spec Interiors was tasked with the comprehensive fit-out of the Postmark retail store, a brand known for its beautifully designed and thoughtfully crafted greeting cards. The vision for this project was to transform Postmark’s retail environment into a vibrant and inviting space that would showcase their products in a way that not only attracted customers but also created a memorable shopping experience, encouraging repeat visits. This was not just about creating a store, but about establishing a space where customers could immerse themselves in the Postmark brand—an environment that would reflect the brand’s playful, creative, and artistic essence.

Design Concept

Our design strategy centred around the idea of bringing the cards to life through the store environment. We wanted to create an atmosphere that was as lively and engaging as Postmark’s products, offering a visual and tactile experience that captured the joy and creativity inherent in the brand. Every design decision, from colour choices to the layout, was made with this goal in mind.
A key component of the design was to use colour as a tool to reinforce the brand’s lively, creative spirit. Vibrant colours were selected for the walls and accents throughout the space to reflect the dynamic nature of the Postmark cards. These colours were carefully chosen to evoke a sense of joy, playfulness, and creativity, setting the tone for the overall store experience. The colours serve not only as a backdrop to the products but as a way to engage customers on an emotional level, drawing them into the store and encouraging them to explore.

Through thoughtful design, meticulous planning, and careful execution, New Spec Interiors successfully transformed Postmark’s retail space into an inviting, immersive, and joyful environment. By using vibrant colours, incorporating unique design features such as the signature tree, and carefully planning the layout, we were able to create a space that not only showcased Postmark’s products but also fostered a sense of community and belonging for its customers.
The result is a retail outlet that invites customers in, engages their senses, and encourages them to return time and time again. The space serves as a true reflection of Postmark’s creative spirit, blending artistic design with functional retail elements to create a memorable, welcoming atmosphere that draws customers back, again and again, to experience the brand in its fullest form.
